2. Definitions

- "Controller": The entity determining purposes of processing.
- "Processor": The entity processing data on behalf of a Controller.
- "User Content": Audio, transcripts, summaries, prompts, documents, or metadata generated via the Service.
- "Organization": A company using Hintro via an Organization Account.
3. Roles & Responsibilities
Individual Users
Hintro acts as a data controller for personal accounts.
Organization (B2B) Accounts
- The Organization is the data controller.
- Hintro acts as a data processor.
- This Privacy Policy includes a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) applicable to such use.
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Information You Provide
- Name
- Email address
- Account credentials
- Billing information (processed by payment providers)
- User Content you choose to provide
4.2 Audio & Meeting Data
With your explicit permission, we process:
- Live audio input
- Transcripts
- AI-generated summaries and insights
We do not activate microphones or capture audio without user initiation.
4.3 Automatically Collected Information
- IP address
- Device and OS information
- App version
- Usage metrics (language, timestamps, duration)
- Diagnostic and crash logs
This data is used for security, performance, and product improvement.
5. How We Use Your Data
We process data to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Deliver AI-powered features
- Improve accuracy and performance
- Manage accounts and subscriptions
- Provide customer support
- Ensure security, fraud prevention, and compliance
We do not use data for advertising profiling.

This DPA forms part of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Hintro processes personal data on behalf of Organizations solely to:
- Provide the Service
- Maintain security
- Improve functionality
16. Processor Obligations
Hintro shall:
- Process data only on documented instructions
- Ensure confidentiality
- Implement appropriate security measures
- Assist with data subject requests
- Notify Organizations of data breaches where required by law
17. Subprocessors
Hintro may engage subprocessors (e.g., cloud, AI, payment providers).
A current list is available upon request. All subprocessors are bound by equivalent data protection obligations.
18. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach affecting Organization data:
- We will notify the Organization without undue delay
- Provide relevant details for compliance obligations
19. Data Return or Deletion
Upon termination of the Service:
- Organization data will be deleted or anonymized
- Unless retention is required by law
20. Audits
Upon reasonable request, Hintro will provide information necessary to demonstrate compliance with this DPA.
21. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and DPA are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory local data protection laws where applicable.
